On September 9 we launched our first Virtual Fall Forum. The event was well attended with over 200 insurance professionals experiencing this new, “almost in-person” virtual format.

Speakers and attendees from insurance companies representing the supplemental benefit market came together for this 2-day event, filled with insights and knowledge such as:

NASBI’s First Annual Accident and Hospital Indemnity Study Group was held in Chicago October 23–24.

The interactive discussions of Accident and Hospital Indemnity Insurance focused on sales, marketing and product development. Each discussion topic was selected based on the issues, questions and suggestions gathered from the attendees during the registration process.

The event was sold out.

The NASBI ACC/HI roundtable is a forum for dialogue and conversation among seasoned insurance professionals in sales, marketing and product development. Professionals interested in learning from their colleagues and keeping their finger on the pulse of the Accident and Hospital Indemnity Insurance marketplace should attend.


NASBI, the Nation’s Leading Insurance Advocacy Group, Hosts Annual Supplemental Benefits Forum

Supplemental voluntary health insurance professionals gathered in Philadelphia September 5-7

The National Association of Supplemental Benefit Insurance (NASBI), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for supplemental health benefits professionals, hosted its 16th annual Supplemental Benefits Forum  in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This forum has grown to become the must-attend event for insurance specialists from across the country, with professional development opportunities for those in product development, underwriting, marketing and sales, claims, risk management, and administration.

The program offered three tracks to choose from:

  1. The Critical Illness/Accident and Hospital Indemnity track covered key aspects of these supplemental benefits, including foundational information, deep dives into industry experience and innovative ideas on future product development.
  2. The Life/Short Term Disability track highlighted the latest developments in these specialties and looked at innovative ways to market what some consider to be lower-growth products.
  3. The General track offered a host of opportunities to learn about compliance, corporate responsibility, technology, value-added services, industry innovations, and more!

NASBI expands annual Critical Illness Study Group to include Short Term Disability!

The study group offered a venue to exchange ideas with fellow industry professionals interested in networking, learning from their colleagues, and keeping their finger on the pulse of critical illness and short term disability insurance.

Interactive roundtable discussion focused on improving sales, marketing and product development of these two products.

The event was held May 2 & May 3, 2018 at the Optimum Re Insurance Company in Dallas, Texas.

The National Association for Critical Illness Insurance (NACII), the nation’s leading advocacy organization focused on providing education and support for carriers and producers in the field of critical illness coverage, hosted the annual Supplemental Benefits Forum September 6–8 in Orlando, Florida. This year, in recognition of the organization’s 15th anniversary, the forum  expanded its focus to include a broader range of supplemental and voluntary benefits including Accident and Hospital Indemnity.

The National Association for Critical Illness Insurance (NACII) is celebrating its 15th year of providing education, support, and advocacy for carriers and producers in the field of critical illness coverage. In conjunction with this milestone anniversary, the organization expanded its focus to include a broader range of supplemental and voluntary benefits including Accident and Hospital Indemnity, and this increased scope of expertise was highlighted at the organization’s annual Supplemental Benefits Forum, held September 6–8 in Orlando, Florida.
